DEAD OR ALIVE: BET ON ALIVE TOUR | (CONCERT TOUR) |
This tour of seven live dates throughout England features songs from all their releases to date, plus early, rough versions of "Misty Circles" and "Sit On It" (featured here as "Gilded Splinters" with different lyrics.) A press kit was fashioned for each venue that included all of Dead Or Alive's records, advertising artwork and contract riders in one large envelope. There is only one of these seven packages known to be still complete. An adequate audience recording of the date at Rotter's in Manchester featured the following set list:
Another date, at the Deeside Leisure Centre was part of the Futurama Festival. It is not known if this date was part of the same tour, or a separate date. It's set features several unreleased songs, and an amazing 10 minute verison of "Misty Circles". |

|
ALIVE TOUR | (CONCERT TOUR) |
European & brief American tour in support of "Sophisticated Boom Boom". Dead Or Alive relied heavily on pre-recorded tapes for much of the musical arrangements on this tour. All lead vocals were live, as were the female backing vocals. All male backing voacls were pre-recorded, and this is evident in some of the bootleg tapes of these shows in circualtion. One date from this tour was used for the Dutch bootleg LP, "Alive".

UK-only live tour, this 10-date tour was Dead Or Alive's only all-live concert tour. A troupe of dancers, musicians and singers augmented the four-piece line-up. Only one, complete bootleg tape has surfaced in wide circulation amongst collectors, the show at New Castle on July 14. The shows at The Golden Suspender were professionally recorded and four songs have surfaced on various B-sides. A tour program was sold at many of the dates and is highly collectible.

RIP IT UP TOUR | (CONCERT TOUR) |
Autumn 1987 saw Dead Or Alive on the road in America and Japan promoting the "I'll Save You All My Kisses" single as well as recording a live video album to be released in 1988. Sell-out crowds in both countries were greeted with a highly choreographed, tight show, but the set relied almost entirely on backing tapes with only musical "flourishes" performed live. The 4-piece band was joined onstage by a duo of male dancers who mimed guitar and backing vocal parts. The entire set was included on the home video. (See below). A bootleg video of this tour from an unknown date during the US leg of the tour is in circulation. This bootleg does not include sound. There were a few warm up dates in New York with a slightly different set list- gone are "In Too Deep" and "Come Inside", and different versions of "Brand New Lover" and "My Heart Goes Bang" were used.
RIP IT UP LIVE | (HOME VIDEO) |
A very rare European version (France/ Italy/ Germany/ Greece/ Spain) of this video was released and included the 7" edit version of the video "Turn Around & Count 2 Ten". This 1989 release was deleted quickly due to both slow sales of it and "Nude", as well as offensive content. |
TURN AROUND AND COUNT 2 TEN | (SINGLE) |
{Note: The only editions of this 12" that survived the withdrawN of this release were the ones that were already in transit to the United States for sale in the import shops.}
|
|
GIVE IT BACK THAT LOVE IS MINE | (WITHDRAWN SINGLE) |
Note: this single was planned for release in Japan but was withdrawn for unknown reasons. The "Extended Mix" later surfaced on the "Nude Remade, Remodelled" album, and the "Instru-Mental" is available on the Japanese version of "Nude". No copies of this single have ever surfaced, but information on this single was taken from Japan's "Rock Show" magazine's upcoming releases column. |
|
COME HOME WITH ME BABY | (SINGLE) |
|
|
HOME TIME | (TELEVISION APPEARANCE) |
This Los Angeles local TV program included an interview with Pete and Steve taped in James Hyde's parent's back yard. Clips from several videos were also included. The complete, unedited raw footage of this interview is also in circualtion via one of the fan club videos released circa 1992.
NUDE | (ALBUM) |
The above formats all came with a very limited edition comic book biography entitled "Scandalous Tatoo". The cover art is different from the UK and US counterparts.

DISCO IN DREAM TOUR | (CONCERT TOUR) |
This 1989 tour of Japan was part of a huge festival tour with Kylie Minogue and Sinnitta. The October 9th date was recorded and broadcast on the NHK television network in Japan. Once again Dead Or Alive were backed up by pre-recorded tapes, but some vocals and many instruments were live. A large dance troupe and a small handful of musicians also augmented the now two-man line up of Pete and Steve. A beautiful tour program and lots of related tour merchandise was sold at the various venues. There are two versions of the tour prgram, one features all Dead Or Alive pages, some had additional pages included for Kylie Minogue and Sinnitta.
This set list was based on the TV broadcast of "Nude Live". It is likely more songs were performed. |
|
BABY DON'T SAY GOODBYE | (SINGLE) |
|
|
NUDE: REMADE, REMODELLED | (ALBUM) |
Except for the last track , these are all new versions mixed for this compilation. "Baby Don't Say Goodbye" is the same mix as the "Extended Mix" on the Japan 3" CD Single. |

NOTE: This same mix appears on the "Rhythm Stick" series of DJ only compilations. |

FAN THE FLAME TOUR | (CONCERT TOUR) |
A brief tour of Japan to support the "Fan The Flame" albums was played in November 1990. Songs from the unreleased "Fan The Flame Volume Two" were performed at this show, and the date in Nagoya was recorded and the acoustic encore surfaced as the B-side to "Been Gone 2 Long". A tour program was issued but features mostly unused photos from the "Nude" photo sessions, and no text in any language except for the tour dates and fan club information (all in Japanese).
|
|
SWING SHIFT | (TELEVISION APPEARANCE) |
This late night UK television program includes an interview with Pete and an acoustic performace of "Gone 2 Long" and "Total Stranger" (with Peter Oxendale and Tracy Ackerman)
TOUR '92 | (CONCERT TOUR) |
Separated from Steve Coy and Lynne Burns for a brief time in the early '90's, Pete went out on a poorly planned and generally unsuccesful tour of America. He played to backing tapes, with no band, sometimes even resorting to singing live over the CDs he'd pick up at the local record stores. Some new material was presented ("Ecstacy", "The Right Stuff", "Sleep With You") but rarely was a set list stuck to- sometimes he would only play audience requests. (If the album was available in the DJ booth!) Bootlegs of several of these shows are in circualtion among collectors, with the two-hour video of the Los Angeles date being the most sought-after.

US ASSALT TOUR '97 | (TOUR) |
This tour was planned for Summer/ Fall '97 and was to include the US, Canada and Mexico. A warm up date on July 12, 1997 at the Bat Cave in New York City included the follwong set: The remainder of the dates were cancelled due to poor management. Dates in Scotland, England the the rest of the UK were not effected and were played as scheduled in late summer, 1997.
Later in '97 Dead Or Alive returned to New York and gave a cocnert at the club Twirl, using a similar set list to above. In Spring, 1998, they returned once again for two dates as a warm up for the European tour. One of these dates, in Philidelphia, was only Pete on stage, but the New York show restored the full line up. The Paris concert (also a "Pete Only" event) was broadcast on the MCM network. These '98 shows feature a different, shorter set list but do add "My Heart Goes Bang". (Performed for the first time in 6 years.) |
